Disclaimer: For The Remainder Of My Life, I Will Follow Happy. No Matter How Big Or Small, Everything In Our Life Matters. As I listen to My Own Voice, I Am Becoming Happier with the Life, Family, Job, And Friends I already Have! Nothing More & Nothing Less. Hope You Enjoy Today's Post:)

I'm not playing this time; ya girl is outside and doing some new things. Okay, that may be overhyped;

I only want to express the joy of going outside. As the days get shorter in the fall, I am finding myself not being able to get much outside time.

And my number one goal this year is to keep the cooler and colder months from making me feel grumpy. The reason is that as it gets closer to the end of the year, I tend to hibernate in my warm home because it's just too cold to be outside.

But this year, I am pushing for a change, one that involves me going outside even if it rains, storms, or gets dark early. In order for me to be happy, I have to follow my own happiness even if I don't want to go outside on any given day.

I am trying my best to simplify my life and become more aware of the small moments that make up what we all call life.

The thing or things that make my life happy may differ for someone else, but I think we are all on the same journey to finding happiness.

Nonetheless, I am no longer chasing happiness but rather basking in the people, things, and places that I have neglected in one form or another.

So, today, the hubs and I went on a special day date. I put on my polka-dot jumper and pink lipstick, and ten minutes later, we headed down the road with no directions, except we were outside.

Sometimes, I don't know where I am going, and I find that is my superpower. Back in the day, I would overthink everything plan everything. And if something went wrong, I wouldn't step foot out the door. Now, I am changing the way I think and see when it comes to going outside.

When my husband said let's go get lunch, I said okay. Boom, that is mind-blowing because I never let him pick lunch or any event.

Not because he can't, but because I am a one-directional eater; I will only eat fried fish, shrimp, boiled baked, it really doesn't matter. I only want seafood.

But, today, Rico picked out a great outdoor event, and it started with lunch. My man took me to a hole in the wall not far from home that served ole' school hamburgers. You know, those burgers that's just cooked right and smell like fresh-cut onions. Yep, he took me to the best mom-and-pop burger joint in the city.

Honestly, it was the conversation and laughs I shared with him while smacking on burgers, fries, and coke. It amazes me how my husband remembers our first date versus how I remember it.

LOL, but just know my story is the true story, and I will share that at a later date. :)

We sat and talked for about two hours before walking around the corner to grab some chocolates to cuve the sweet tooth we both had.

Can you believe I found a thrift store that gave me chills with the number of old dresses and what knots they had available. I hate to admit to this I spent over an hour just to come out of the store, only buying a colorful moo moo dress. Most of the things I wanted were too small, or I already had something similar.

I did go to another thrift store where I racked up on some funky stuff, but I will share those finds in another post coming up soon.

There you have it, a day of following my own happiness. It may seem mundane to some people, but for me, it was a day to escape into a world of my own.

Last, I do not know what will happen tomorrow, but today, I'm all smiles.

What are you happy about at this moment?
