last year reflections!

This year, I want to do something different, and I mean really different. Let's face it: 2023 had somewhere to be because it has come and gone faster than a Marvel movie at the AMC box office.

I know many people are making mood boards and diary pages for the new 2024 year. Although that is a good thing, I decided to dip the moodboards and reflect on all the good things that happened in my life over 2023.

Last year, my vision board was longer than the Nile River. At the beginning of 2023, I packed my days and nights full of things to do every single day. I burnt myself out, and at the end of the day, I ended up only focusing on the important things in my life.

At the end of 2023, I dropped the mood board visions and started focusing on living well, eating well, and family time with a sprinkle of running my Funky Grunge Boutique business. And that small detour off planning helped end my year on a great note.

It was an ending of gratitude, happiness, and relaxation in knowing I did my best throughout the year, even if I didn't complete every single thing on my mood/ vision board.

So, that brings me to 2024; everything will stay the same, except this time, I am adding only two things to my vision board. One thing is for my business and one thing is for my personal life, and I will share those two things later in another blog post.

At this point in my life, I am keeping 2024 just as simple as I did for 2023. I am only doing the things that bring me peace, love, and joy because when my cup is complete, I can then and only then pour into other people's cups of life.

When I became a certain age in life, I stopped overworking myself and doing the most. Now, at 50-something, I look forward to living in the present life that I have, nothing more, nothing less.

So, here's to a simple yet great life by any means.

Did you create a vision or mood board for 2024? Let us know in the comments below.

Happy New Year, I hope peace, love and joy finds us all:) Let's Go!

Here's to living beyond existing!
